Cebu Pacific & UNICEF Join Hands for "Change For Good"

Some may agree that change is not enough, it should actually be a change for the better, a change towards something good. And last week, Cebu Pacific and UNICEF joined hands to make "Change For Good" a possibility.

Change For Good

Cebu Pacific recently signed up as the first Southeast Asia airline partner of UNICEF’s global Change for Good program.

This innovative partnership between the children’s organization and the international airline industry is designed to collect any amount of cash from passengers and convert these into life-saving materials and services for vulnerable children around the world.

The Cebu Pacific and UNICEF partnership supports Change for Good’s First 1,000 Days, which focuses on providing optimal nutrition in the first 1,000 days—from a mother’s pregnancy to a child’s second year of life.

Some specific thrusts include exclusive breastfeeding up to 6 months of age; continued breastfeeding up to 2 years of age, together with appropriate, hygienic and nutritious food; fortification of foods; micronutrient supplementation; and treatment of severe malnutrition.

Through their Change for Good partnership, Cebu Pacific and UNICEF will work together for First 1,000 Days, which provides child beneficiaries with proper nutrition.
