Philippine 2011 Holidays

Let's start 2011 with an organized schedule - Philippine 2011 Holidays! Albeit belatedly announced last month by the Philippine government, Proclamation 84 acknowledged and declared the list of Philippines Holidays for 2011.

This year, “Holiday Economics” is 'out' while weekend holidays are 'in.' Although this year's list of Philippine 2011 Holidays is bad news for regular employees, this is good news for employers who want more production output and employees paid on a day-to-day basis.

2011 Philippine Holidays are

February   25 - Edsa Revolution Anniversary (Friday) **
April       09 - Araw ng Kagitingan (Saturday)
April       21 - Maundy Thursday (Holy Week)
April       22 - Good Friday (Holy Week)

According to this Philippine Holidays 2011 source, the holidays for Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha are yet to be declared due to its nature. I would like to reiterate however, that October 31, 2011 (the Monday before November 1) and Decemebr 24, 2011 should also be declared as a special holiday, hopefully. :)

So if you are planning and scheduling your vacation leaves for work, This is the list of Philippine 2011 Holidays for your guidance.

  5. I was teally hoping oct 31 2011 was a holiday in the philippines. :(

  6. This is to inform you that by virtue of Proclamation No. 154 issued October 10, 2011 by Malacañang, October 31, 2011 (Monday) has been declared as a Special Non-Working Holiday.
