Things you need to know about Pasay City Mayoralty Candidate Chet Cuneta

A few days ago, I attended an intimate gathering of bloggers to meet and greet Pasay City Mayoralty candidate Chet Cuneta. I was able to get to know him as a person and was able to learn his plans for Pasay City.

Chet who just celebrated his 58th birthday last May 1, is the brother of Mega Star Sharon Cuneta. He is a pilot by profession in Air Asia Philippines and if fortunate this coming election, is the time for him to retire from aviation and work full time for Pasay City. During his free time, he loves to watch K-dramas with his wife Michelle.

If there would be one person that could best describe Chet as an individial, it would be his wife Michelle. They have been together for 11 years. A good provider and a disciplinarian dad to their 7 children, he can be the best Tatay of Pasay City according to her, " Mabait at may integridad. Nakita ko ang mga pangangailangan ng mga tao ng Pasay, kaya kung destiny or calling po niya ito after sa pagiging piloto, 100% support ako duon." she added.

His father Pablo Cubeta who served Pasay for 42 years, very generous as he describe. Chet wants to be as humble and helpful as his dad. "Walang lumalabas ng office ni Daddy na luhaan. Very generous dahil alam nya kung paano maging mahirap. Si Daddy matapang din. During his time, lahat sumusunod sa kanya, father figure siya. I also want to look at me as a Father, maybe a strict father, I want to be a good example to the people of Pasay." Chet shared.

"Bagong Umaga, Pasay Gising Na", his main political platform are for healthcare , care for the senior citizens and education. First thing to do if he wins is to rehabilitate the Pasay General Hospital and build more hospitals, Pasay City Medical Center, one in Kalayaan, one besides KIA (Tramo Street)  and in reclamation area. As for Education, he plans to build Pasay City State University. 

As of what type of leader will he be, "Leadership by example. Pag nakita ng mga tao na maayos ang pamumuno, gagaya yan! Atsaka makikiusap ako sa kanila na di ko kaya mag-isa ito. Pag gusto mo ng pagbabago,yung pagbabago magsisimula yan sayo." Chet ended.
