The synchronized Barangay and SK polls, which were supposed to be conducted on October 23, 2017, was rescheduled to May 14, 2018 after Duterte signed Republic Act No. 10952, postponing the said elections.

The said announcement follows Proclamation No. 479 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea by the authority of the President.
